Second Class Piece

3/7/2016

Picture
The second piece I designed to work on was an all white challenge.  Mother and baby polar bears.  I wanted to learn fine shading in whites, as in the Birch Trunks piece, plus how to make puffy white clouds in a blue sky, and how to distinguish the white of clouds from the white in fur from the white in snow.  Plus the baby's fur had to look new against the mother.  Again, the enameling is only about half done.

During the week with Merry-Lee I was in the studio each morning at 6:00 and we worked till about 6:30 in the afternoon.  Merry-Lee is an amazing, generous teacher.
